A Training Course on the Fundamentals of (PLC)

 

 

The Department of Control and Systems Engineering held a training course on the "Fundamentals of (PLC)" for the teaching staff and engineers under the supervision of Assist. Lect. Aamir Abid Mansoor. The course started on 15/1/2018 and lasted for 4 days, two hours a day. It included the following topics:

  • Introducing participants to the importance of PLC and showing the extent of its use in various applications, scientific and non-industrial.
  • Explaining the basic components of PLC and the methods and rules under which it operates.
  • Explaining the rules that must be followed to connect the sensors, switches and actuators to the PLC and how to implement them in practice.
  • Stating the programming languages ​​used in PLC with a brief explanation of the properties of each.
  • Explaining the rules of PLC and its basic guidelines.
  • Writing a program, uploading it to the (PLC), and implementing it.
  • How to analyze the tasks of practical application to create the appropriate PLC program to control the application and implement the method of analysis in practice on some applications in the laboratory as well as other applications.
